What types of ceremonies can I find venues for?

SallesCérémonie covers all types of ceremonies: micro-weddings, civil and secular ceremonies, baptism receptions, celebrations of life, bar and bat mitzvahs, quinceañeras, cultural and interfaith ceremonies, and intimate receptions. If you're planning a gathering for 10 to 100 people, this directory is for you.

Is this only for weddings?

No. That's actually what makes us different. Most venue platforms focus on large wedding receptions. We built SallesCérémonie for all ceremonies — including the ones that other platforms ignore, like baptism receptions and celebrations of life.

Is it free to search and send inquiries?

Yes. Browsing the directory, filtering venues, and sending inquiries is completely free. You don't need to create an account.

Do I need to create an account to contact a venue?

No. You can send an inquiry directly from any venue listing by filling out the inquiry form with your name, email, ceremony date, and guest count. No account required.

How does the inquiry process work?

When you submit an inquiry, the venue owner receives an email with your details. They'll reply directly to your email. You'll also receive a confirmation that your inquiry was sent. All further communication happens between you and the venue — we don't act as a middleman.

Are the prices shown on the listings accurate?

Listings show a starting price to help you compare venues. Final pricing depends on your specific needs (date, guest count, duration, services). We recommend contacting the venue directly through the inquiry form for a custom quote.

Can I search for venues in a specific neighbourhood?

Yes. You can filter by neighbourhood — Plateau, Mile End, Old Montreal, Villeray, Griffintown, NDG, Côte-des-Neiges, Saint-Laurent, Laval, South Shore, and more. You can also browse venues on the map.

Is the platform available in French?

Yes. SallesCérémonie is fully bilingual. You can switch between French and English at any time using the language toggle in the navigation bar.

I can't find a venue I know about. Can I suggest it?

Absolutely. Send us an email at info@sallesceremonie.ca with the venue name and any details you have. We'll reach out to them about joining the directory.

For Venue Owners

How much does it cost to list my venue?

We're currently offering a founding member program: the first 50 venues get a free listing for six months with full features, including up to 12 photos and an inquiry dashboard. After the founding period, we offer a free basic tier and paid plans starting at $49/month for enhanced features like more photos, featured placement, and detailed analytics.

What types of venues can be listed?

Any space in the Greater Montreal area that can host a ceremony or intimate gathering of 10 to 100 people. This includes restaurants with private rooms, art galleries, lofts, boutique hotels, community centres, parish halls, gardens, rooftop terraces, funeral homes with reception spaces, and more.

Do I need to be exclusively a ceremony venue to list?

Not at all. Many of our listed venues are restaurants, galleries, or hotels that also happen to have great spaces for ceremonies. If your space can host an intimate gathering, it belongs here.

How do I receive inquiries?

When a visitor sends an inquiry through your listing, you'll receive an email notification with all their details — name, email, ceremony type, date, guest count, and message. You reply directly from your email. Inquiries also appear in your dashboard so you can track your leads.

Can I list my venue in both French and English?

Yes. Your listing has separate description fields for French and English. We recommend filling in both to reach the widest audience. If you only fill in one language, the platform will display that version to all visitors.

How do I manage my listing?

Your venue dashboard lets you edit your profile, upload and reorder photos, update pricing, toggle your listing on or off, and view your inquiry history. You can access it anytime by logging into your account.

Can I list multiple venues?

On the free and Pro plans, you can list one venue. The Premium plan supports up to three venue listings under a single account.

What if I want to pause my listing temporarily?

You can toggle your listing to inactive at any time from your dashboard — useful for renovations, seasonal closures, or private bookings. Your listing data is preserved and can be reactivated whenever you're ready.

How is SallesCérémonie different from other venue platforms?

Most venue platforms use a quote-request model — visitors fill out a form and wait for quotes. SallesCérémonie is a browsable directory where visitors can search, filter, and explore venues freely before reaching out. Other platforms also tend to focus on large wedding receptions. We cover all ceremony types, with a focus on intimate gatherings under 100 guests, and we're fully bilingual.

SallesCérémonie is a Montreal-based platform founded by Nicolae Racovita. We're focused on helping Montrealers find the right space for their most meaningful moments.
